Growth Solution

Project Mission

In a strategic move towards energy independence and cost reduction, a state-of-the-art 8KW Hybrid Solar System has been successfully installed at Jinnah Garden, Islamabad. This pioneering project aims to harness the abundant solar energy in the region to offset electricity consumption, significantly reducing reliance on the grid and associated costs.

The core mission of this project is to demonstrate the viability and benefits of solar energy as a sustainable and economical power source for residential and commercial properties in Pakistan. By installing a robust hybrid system, which combines solar panels with battery storage, the project seeks to optimize energy utilization, maximize self-consumption, and minimize grid dependency.

Moreover, the project serves as a testament to the government’s and private sector’s commitment to promoting renewable energy initiatives and fostering a greener Pakistan. It is anticipated that this installation will inspire others to adopt similar sustainable solutions, contributing to a collective effort to mitigate climate change and ensure energy security for the nation.

The Challenge Of Project

Implementing a large-scale hybrid solar system in a residential setting presented a unique set of challenges. The project demanded careful site assessment, system design, and installation to ensure optimal performance and safety.

One of the primary challenges was to integrate the 14 high-efficiency 585W Jinko N-Type Bifacial panels seamlessly into the existing rooftop infrastructure. This required the construction of a customized raised structure to accommodate the panels and optimize solar exposure.

Another critical aspect was the selection of suitable battery storage. The 220Ah Daewoo batteries were chosen for their reliability and capacity to store sufficient energy for backup power and peak load shaving. However, integrating these batteries into the system efficiently and safely demanded meticulous planning and execution.

Furthermore, the project faced logistical challenges in terms of procuring the necessary equipment and coordinating the installation process. Given the increasing popularity of solar energy, supply chain constraints and skilled labor shortages posed additional hurdles.

Project Cost

The total cost of the 8KW hybrid solar system installation at Jinnah Garden, Islamabad, encompasses various components, including:

  • Solar Panels: The 14 high-efficiency 585W Jinko N-Type Bifacial panels constitute a significant portion of the investment. These panels are renowned for their superior performance and durability.
  • Inverter: The 8KW Inverex Nitrox inverter plays a crucial role in converting the DC electricity generated by the solar panels into AC power suitable for household use.
  • Battery Storage: The 220Ah Daewoo batteries provide essential backup power and energy storage capabilities, contributing to the overall system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Mounting Structure: The customized raised structure was specifically designed to accommodate the solar panels and ensure optimal solar energy capture.
  • Installation and Labor: The costs associated with site assessment, system design, equipment installation, and labor form a substantial part of the project expenditure.

While the initial investment in a hybrid solar system might seem substantial, the long-term benefits in terms of energy savings and reduced electricity bills are compelling. With an estimated payback period of 3 years, the system is projected to generate 960 units of electricity per month, resulting in savings of approximately 45,000 PKR per month.

As the cost of electricity continues to rise, the economic viability of solar energy becomes increasingly attractive. By embracing this technology, homeowners and businesses can not only reduce their carbon footprint but also secure a sustainable and cost-effective energy solution for the future.
